Fall in crime - Worplesdon is one of the safest places to live in Surrey
The wider Worplesdon area is one of the safest places to live, according to local crime figures - with low levels of crime. There is always crime and our area is no exception - BUT we are blessed to live in one of the safest areas of Guildford and Surrey.
Our local Police Area includes Broadacres, Fairlands, Jacobs Well, Perry Hill, Wood Street Village, Worplesdon, Pirbright and Normandy.
In 2017 there were 627 crimes reported. In 2018 that dropped to 588 - the second lowest number of offences across Guildford (per 1,000 of population).
As in 2017, the most common crimes reported were antisocial behaviour (162 recorded instances), followed by violent and sexual offences (127). Every criminal act is one too many, but we are encouraged that Worplesdon is an area with one of the lowest levels of crime in Surrey, which is reassuring for the whole community.
