Help for local businesses through coronavirus lock-down


More help for local businesses - apply now for a discretionary grant.   More financial support has just been announced for local businesses affected by Coronavirus, who may have missed out, or were not eligible before. 

Applications are now open but will close at 6pm on Monday 15th June. The scheme Is looking to support local businesses that have not been eligible for the Expanded Retail Discount or Small Business Rate Relief Scheme. Businesses will be eligible for a grant of £5,000, £10,000 or £25,000, depending on the circumstances i.e how a business has suffered financially due to the impact of the coronavirus.

Many local businesses are facing great financial difficulty due to the impact of the global pandemic. Those who do not qualify for help through existing government schemes, can now apply for a local grant of up to £25,000. A high volume of applications is expected, so to allow for applications to be processed as quickly as possible, businesses must apply by 6pm on Monday 15 June. Please answer all the questions on the application form so your application can be assessed without delay.  

Applications must be made online and you will need to supply supporting evidence of fixed property costs and the financial impact of the virus on your business.
